256 GRAYS STUDIO LLP is an architectural visualisation studio and interior architecture practice based in Mumbai, India. This page covers two things: how we handle personal information collected through 256grays.com, and the terms that govern your use of the site.
The Privacy section explains what we collect, why, and how to manage it. The Terms section sets out the legal basis for using the site. Both apply when you use 256grays.com or any of its subdomains.
We may update this page from time to time. The current version is whatever appears at https://256grays.com/privacy/ on the date you visit. Material changes will be flagged on the page.

Privacy
What we collect
We collect information in three situations.
When you contact us. The contact form, the portfolio download request, and the introductory-call booking each ask for some combination of your name, email, optional phone number, project type, location, and any message or notes you choose to add.
When you browse the site. With your consent, we collect anonymised browsing data through Google Analytics 4 (pages viewed, approximate location, device type, referral source, time on site) and Google Ads conversion signals (which ad or campaign brought you to the site, which actions you took afterwards). Without consent, we collect nothing of this kind; the analytics tags do not fire.
When you opt in to the newsletter. A separate, explicit checkbox on the contact form adds you to our newsletter list. The checkbox is unchecked by default. We do not opt you in implicitly.
We do not collect financial information, government identifiers, health information, or any other sensitive personal data through the site.
How we use it
We use your contact submissions to reply to your enquiry, send the portfolio you requested, follow up on a call you booked, or respond to whatever you wrote in.
We use newsletter opt-ins to send occasional studio updates. You can unsubscribe from any newsletter email with one click; the link is in every send.
We use analytics and advertising data to understand where leads come from, which content is useful, and whether our Google Ads campaigns are worth running. None of this is used to make automated decisions about you, and none of it is sold to anyone.
We never share your contact information with other studios, marketers, or list brokers.
Cookies and tracking
The site uses cookies and similar technologies for two purposes: a small number of operational cookies that keep the site working (security, basic functionality), and a set of tracking cookies for analytics and advertising.
The operational cookies do not require your consent and are not affected by the consent banner.
The tracking cookies, including those set by Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads, are granted by default when you arrive at the site, in line with Google's Consent Mode v2 framework. The cookie banner that appears on your first visit gives you a one-click option to reject these. If you reject, the tracking signals are switched off immediately and Google's tags discard the session.
You can change your choice at any time. Scroll to the "Manage cookie preferences" block at the bottom of this page to reset and re-decide.
We do not set our own first-party tracking cookies. The cookies that fire are Google's, controlled through Consent Mode v2 as described above.
Third-party services we use
The site uses a small number of third-party services. We have chosen them deliberately, and each is named here so you know exactly who handles which part of your data.
Google runs our analytics (Google Analytics 4), our advertising (Google Ads), our introductory-call booking page (Google Workspace Appointment Schedules), and our fonts (Google Fonts via Bunny Fonts proxy where applicable). Google's privacy practices are at policies.google.com/privacy.
Brevo handles our transactional email and contact lists. When you submit the contact form, request the portfolio, or sign up for the newsletter, your details are added to a Brevo list, and Brevo sends any related emails on our behalf. Brevo's privacy practices are at brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy.
Hostinger hosts the site and delivers it through their content delivery network. They have access to standard server logs, including IP addresses, in the course of running the infrastructure. Hostinger's privacy practices are at hostinger.com/privacy-policy.
WhatsApp is offered as an optional contact channel through the floating button at the bottom-right of the site. If you choose to message us through it, WhatsApp's own terms and privacy practices apply to that conversation. WhatsApp's privacy practices are at whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Where any of these services transfer your data outside India for processing, they do so under their own published safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions, or equivalent). We have not signed bespoke data-processing agreements beyond their standard terms.
How long we keep it
Contact form submissions and portfolio requests. Retained in our Brevo lists until you ask us to remove them, or until we conclude the lists are no longer relevant to the studio (whichever is sooner). We do not run automatic deletion on these lists.
Newsletter opt-ins. Retained until you unsubscribe. Unsubscribing is one click in any newsletter email.
Portfolio download access tokens. Each download link is single-purpose and expires automatically one hour after the request. Token storage is wiped on expiry.
Analytics data. Google Analytics 4 retains event-level data for the default retention period (currently 14 months in our configuration). Aggregated reports persist longer in the Google Ads and GA4 interfaces.
Server logs. Standard web-server logs on Hostinger are retained per Hostinger's own retention policy. They contain IP addresses and request timestamps and are used for security and debugging, not for marketing.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete what we hold
- Stop using your information for any specific purpose
- Withdraw a consent you previously granted
Write to info@256grays.com. We aim to respond within 14 days and at most within 30.
If you are in a jurisdiction with statutory data-protection rights, including the EU and the UK under GDPR, the US under CCPA and equivalents, India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, or Australia under the Australian Privacy Principles, those rights apply in addition to anything stated here, and we will honour them.
Data location
Your contact information is processed by Brevo (servers in the EU). Analytics and advertising signals are processed by Google (servers globally, per Google's own infrastructure). The site itself is hosted by Hostinger out of their Mumbai data centre. Where data crosses borders, it does so under the third party's own published safeguards.
Children
The site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted information through the site, write to info@256grays.com and we will remove it.
Terms of use
What these terms cover
These terms cover your use of the website at 256grays.com, its subdomains (including tours.256grays.com), and any related downloadable materials such as the studio portfolio PDF.
They do not cover paid project engagements. If you commission us for visualisation, interior architecture, or related services, that engagement is governed by a separate written contract signed by you and an authorised signatory of 256 GRAYS STUDIO LLP. Nothing on the site, including project descriptions, indicative timelines, or rate references, constitutes a binding offer. If you are based abroad and want to understand how we engage with international clients, see how we work together internationally.
By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
How you may use the site
You may browse the site, view the portfolio, read insights, contact us via the form or messaging channels, request the portfolio download, and book an introductory call.
You may not scrape the site, copy substantial portions for commercial use, reverse engineer the site's code, attempt to circumvent rate limits or access controls, submit fraudulent or automated form entries, or use the site to transmit unlawful, harassing, or harmful content. You may not represent yourself as a representative of 256 GRAYS STUDIO LLP without written authorisation.
Intellectual property
All content on the site, including renders, photographs, written work, source code, the 256 GRAYS name, the studio mark, and the visual design system, is owned by 256 GRAYS STUDIO LLP or used under licence. Some imagery shown is the work of the studio commissioned by our clients; depiction on this site does not transfer ownership and does not authorise reuse.
You may not republish, redistribute, modify, or use any site content for commercial purposes without prior written permission. Brief incidental use such as a social-media share of a link to the public site is fine. Pinning a specific render to a mood board for personal reference is fine. Downloading renders to use in your own portfolio, marketing, listings, or sales material is not.
If you believe any content on the site infringes your rights, write to us at info@256grays.com and we will respond within a reasonable period.
Information you submit
When you use the contact form, request the portfolio, or book a call, you submit information to us. By submitting, you warrant that the information is accurate, that you are entitled to share it, and that you are not impersonating another person. We handle submitted information as set out in the Privacy section above.
We may decline to respond to any submission at our discretion, including submissions that appear automated, abusive, or otherwise not in good faith.
Third-party services
The site links to and integrates with third-party services, including those listed in the Privacy section above. Where you interact with those services through our site, the relevant third party's terms and privacy practices apply in addition to ours. We are not responsible for the conduct or content of third-party services.
The tour bundles served at tours.256grays.com are produced by 256 GRAYS STUDIO LLP but rendered using third-party software. The same caveats apply.
No warranties
The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we make no warranties or representations, express or implied, regarding the site's accuracy, completeness, fitness for any particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, or freedom from error.
Project imagery on the site is illustrative of completed, in-progress, or speculative work. Materials, finishes, dimensions, and layouts depicted in renders are visualisations and may differ from built outcomes. Nothing depicted constitutes a representation, warranty, or offer regarding any property or development.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, 256 GRAYS STUDIO LLP, its members, partners, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the site, including without limitation loss of profits, business interruption, loss of data, or loss of goodwill, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with your use of the site is limited to INR 10,000 (Indian Rupees ten thousand), or its equivalent in the currency of the claim at the prevailing exchange rate on the date the claim arises.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 256 GRAYS STUDIO LLP and its members against any claim, loss, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the site, or your infringement of any third party's rights through your use of the site.
